About Ohba Leaf
Welcome to Ohba leaf Restaurant. Our restaurant named by the Japanese basil leaf which can be served as tempura, in salads and with sashimi. It is also ground and used to flavour sauces, added to ponzu (a soya sauce, dashi (fish stock) anddaidai juice sauce), used in nabe(Japanese stews) and Japanese-style spaghetti dishes.
We are located at 50 Topsfileed Parade, Crouch End. Our restaurant is decorated in temporary style with warmer tone that helps you relax after your day.
The traditional food of Japan is based on rice with miso soup and other dishes with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients. The side dishes often consist of fish, pickled vegetables, and vegetables cooked in broth. Fish is common in the traditional cuisine. It is often grilled, but it may also be served raw as sashimi or in sushi. Seafood and vegetables are also deep-fried in a light batter as tempura.Apart from rice, staples include noodles, such as soba and udon.
